Blue Cat is Grateful for … Eleven Mile State Park

Blue Cat’s been in the dumps the last few days and hasn’t been blogging as much as he would have liked. But he did find another thing that he’s thankful for – a Colorado State Park called Eleven Mile State Park. Not only does the park have great camping, but there were some surprises along the way.

As you can see – not a lot of trees around the lake and its campsites. But there were small things that you notice when you’re only as tall as Blue Cat.

Not sure what this kind of plant was, but it was living in a crack in the rocks by the lake.

And if you went to the other side of the water shown in this picture there’s a dam that forms the lake.

Unfortunately this was as close as Blue Cat could get. This is the top of Eleven Mile Canyon, which was beautiful all by itself.

Both are places you should visit when you come to Colorado!

So what are you grateful for today?
